About Us
Automated inspection plants engineered by NDT Systems are used in the steel, rail and automotive industry. The diversified range of stationary systems includes ultrasonic plants for the online and offline inspection of heavy plate, plate and strip material, incorporating automated assessment procedures according to a wide range of international delivery standards.
The product line also includes couplant-free ultrasonic systems for the inspection of hot- and cold-rolled strip. The EMAT technology, for instance, is applied to inspect the laser welds used to produce tailored blanks from individual flat sheets of different grades and thickness.
NDT Systems is further a licence holder for a range of inspection systems for wheels and axles of railroad cars and engines as well as a distributor for a range of specialized automated systems developed and manufactured by the Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschungs GmbH (SZMF).
The scope of activities of NDT Systems regarding the product line offered includes customized design and engineering, installation, commissioning, training of personnel and full after-sales support.
Despite its short company history, NDT Systems can draw on extensive expertise and experience in the field of automated inspection systems. All employees have been working in this industry and in their specific fields of specialization for many years some for up to twenty five years and have set standards, especially in the field of heavy plate inspection.

In order to meet the quality standards set and to cope with its many tasks, NDT Systems cooperates with renowned institutes and industrial partners like the Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (IzfP) in Saarbrücken and the Technology Development Group (TEG), in Stuttgart, both institutes of the renowned German Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FhG).
